2001 cummins mpg mods

A lot of auto SRW trucks got 4.10's. There should be a build sheet laminated to the glove box door, it will tell you the ratio and options.

Mine is a 98.5 SRW and it's got a Dana 80 with 4.10s I can't find a sticker anywhere to prove it but with my 35" tires at 65 mph on my gps I am turning around 2000 rpm. I am glad I don't have to do a lot of 75 mph driving on stock tires, that thing would be screaming!

Not a great pic but all I got.

Best mpg improvement I got was by checking to see how much odometer/speedometer was off, I picked up 11% instantly :hehe:

12.5 on the lie-o-meter still tells me something is wrong. my other half has a very similar setup and nothing but a strait pipe and amsoil and it shows 21 over head and she gets 18-19 mpg hand calc.

check for boost leaks with an air compressor, switch to amsoil in the crank and rear end, get a GOOD intake (not K&N) and you should see at least 17. if not you have a problem somewhere,

410 miles with 230ish of those miles being all highway, the rest driving in boston, 19.8 mpg hand calc, driving pretty easy. 360 miles, more driving around in boston and some short highway runs and not really caring where my foot is, 14.6 mpg hand calc. its all in your foot.

02 with 4.10. sometimes i wish i had the 3.55s to save on fuel but then i drive my buddys with the same mods but has 3.55 and you can def tell the difference. but then i wish i had the 3.55s when i run the highway and my truck is doing 65 at 2100 rpms

With my sig I get 20 mpg hand calculated driving responsibly, I ran a smarty before the comp and they were about the same. The BIGGEST difference in mileage was adding the rv's
