I figured there would be more in this section. Picking up the new truck Monday and driving is 1000 miles home. Time to roll some cole!
And here you were just talking about growing your investments... LOL
New vehicles are one of the worst investments.
I know, I know. Believe me the heart overpowered the brain on this one. I keep telling myself it'll be okay because this truck will last you years. And 10k of sticker price should even out the depreciation when driving off the lot.
If my duramax didn't just roll over to 200k I wouldn't consider an upgrade. Damn truck is still like new.
I weighed the options. Everything I found that was reasonable was $38-42k. So I figured what the hell I'll spend a few more bucks or so and with the lower interest rate the payoff was similar. Also have a never driven truck, a full warranty, paint color I wanted, interior color/options I wanted, 5 link rear w/ coils etc.
Wouldn't have minded getting the aisen and 15hp 50ft/lbs, but I wanted the new rear susp. May cry in a year, may not.
My Dad picked up a 2014 srw 3500 a couple weeks ago. He almost has 200 mi on it now. He loves it so far.

Them wheels:Throwup:
Granite crystal metallic paint with black interior, sunroof, and every other bell and whistle. Should look something like this.
I heard they were going to have coil springs on them, but the picture of the light grey looks like it has leafs on it.
