I thought the 3rd gen chargers were close to an hx40 spec?

Specs on the 3rd gen charger are pretty much the same as a 2nd gen 35/40, so, see what gets you there with less $$.

They are close. The compressor is a little better on the 3rd gen charger though.

If you do the 3rd gen charger make sure its a he351(04.5-07) not the 341. The he341 isnt really an upgrade from the hx35. The he351 has a 60mm compressor wheel, 60mm turbine and a 9cm exhaust housing. If you enlarge the wastegate hole a little it will flow plenty to keep boost in check.

Could one of you guys that have done a conversion to 3rd gen. turbo do a write up and take some pictures, maybe put it in the Dodge Articles section?

Back to top. What's the factory turbine in a HX35? Would a 60mm comp wheel /HX40 comp housing and stock turbine wheel with 14cm wg'd housing out flow a HE351?

I already have a HX40 comp housing and 14cm housing so all I need is the wheel and a little machine work. Hmm??
