I've had a similar problem where my truck will just suddenly die and not want to start up again. Once it did it when it was a little low on fuel, so I thought it had just sucked up air, but now it did it again with half a tank. What pisses me off is that its only done it when im far from home, then just goes away and I cant diagnose it.
 
maybe i missed something put have you replaced or check your lift pump
