What is the difference in the 2. I dont know if my facts are correct?

12V- 280Bar
24V- 300Bar

My question is in a P-Pump application wouldent the higher pop mean better atimozation? As long as it does not wear on the pump this would be a plus correct? What does resetting the pop cost?
Hopefully I can get some of the ones who have tried this to chime in!

I put this thread in this aera to hopefully get more traffic. :)

Changing the bar on a set of injectors is simple, there is a small local shop that let me do my Dad's injectors myself.... there is a small spring inside the injector and on top of the spring are a few shims. The you need to shart taking maybe a .010 shim out then assemble and check the bar. You do that with each injector until you have the bar you need.

But since your running Don's injectors, I would use Don's recommendation for pop off pressure with a p-pump.

I am going to give DDP my set-up info and see what they suggest for the pop-off setting.

Good Luck!..
With how mine varied new out of the box, wow.
Their injectors will never see the inside of my motor.......Andy

I run 285bar with my p-pump on the 98 Brandon...talk to whoever your using for injectors, but we'll need to check your timing with a timing light;) Just to make sure it is where you think!

I've already made good power on a stock vp44 with my DDP's and they have treated me right since the first time I called them. I'll give them a go and see how it performs, if I don't like it then I'll be getting some 6 hole sticks from another source.

Send em! We dont and never have charged for cleaning and resetting opening pressures.

^^^^There's your go ahead Brandon...

So Don, will the Mach 7's run as good and clean in a 24V P-pump setup as it does in my 24V? I was just curious if the pop off pressures change the performance.

That's what its all about right there. I'm glad at least 2 companies will still take care of the ones who give them business. (F1 and DDP)

Raising relief pressure retards timing slightly but I raised the pressure in my 94 to 4200 and advanced the timing 2 degrees and picked up 60 rwhp and 80 rwtq with the same tips

Don made me up a set of 7's for my 24v p-pump. I daily drive and tow no problem.

My 6x18's with lift and pintle work plus extrude honed bodies are set at 4400 psi. However many bar that is.

Let me throw a wrench in things, i will be running .120 lines and .093 tubes...will this lack of restriction also retard the timing by it taking just a tad longer to reach the pop-off pressure?

I was told that the big lines, and tubes would retard the timing a degree or two.

whew, .120 lines? is all that needed? i know a certain truck that had a fully built 2.8 motor show up on a pallet 2 years ago that had .093 lines on it. :bang

ive always heard that once you get past 4000-4500 rpms you will want to lower the pressure some to help get the fuel in at the correct time. they slobber some at idle, but its all in what your trying to do with them i guess. $.02
