3rd Gen Turbo On A 2nd Gen??

Will a 3rd gen turbo bolt right up to a second gen truck if it has a HX40 type pipe already?
Is there any air benefit to doing this?

I don't know about the piping part. There was a guy over on dtr that made around 450hp with a 3rd gen turbo on his truck. I think he had a Diablo predator and puck stack on a 01 maybe. I'm not sure on the year or if he had injectors and the size.

he351 is very similar to an hx40 so theres not much point. The downpipe won't bolt up. You will need to clock the turbo a bit and make a custom pipe with 2 90's to hook up to the intercooler.

If you had an hx35 it would be worth it.

Follow the link to my write up. A few have commented on my turbo measurements. I swear depending on how you measure the turbine and compressor wheels you can come up with 1.5mm difference.

an HE351 is not similar to an HX40... it's going to spool up about a million times faster
