I installed a pacbrake 4,000 gsk in last night and 60 lb valve springs. The motor will rev to 4,000 no problem with no load. With load only revs 2,800. What did I do wrong or am I missing ?

All shims are out. I went two clicks and it turned 3,300 n runs like a raped ape. I went one more n it fell on its face. What rpms should I see with the 4 gsk ?

Be sure you run the high idle stop screw in or you won't get beyond 33-3400 rpm under load

Let me google this for you!

I had to go 6 clicks on mine to get it to run like I want

thats the first soft click (barely noticable) then 6 more

^^ Would it start with out touching the pedal?? also how long did you have to crank on it till it fired?

Thanks!

When it was at 4 clicks (five if you include the soft click) it had no mid-rpm balls

Started perfect both times, going to 6 clicks brought the idle rpm up 50-75 rpm

This is how I ran my 4ks. I haven't got my 5k springs to run like my old springs yet. It was nice cause the truck would drive itself with hardly any throttle input. I think that also cut my smoke way back since I was barely adding any fuel to get moving.
