47re/48re

well, i have searched the internet for pickups, and i cant seem to find a manual 2003-06 dodge to save my life, so for how many autos that are out there, it seems that will have to be the way to go. Are the 3rd gen 47re/48re better than the 2nd gen, or are they going to be prone to failing as well, and im talking about a stock pickup, with no after market performance parts on it, just bone stock. and if i do get an auto, keeping the pickup stock, should i imediatly get a goerend valve body for it, or just let it be.

also do you southern guys know of any good dealers that specialize in dodge diesels.

The 48's have somewhat better internals but the extra power the commonrails make counteracts that so you're still in the same boat.
