I haven't heard of anyhing good for a reverse pattern VB for these yet.
What is the difference (for high-performance applications) between the rigid & flexible intermediate bands? Obviously the price of the hi-po rigids are 4x as much as the flexible ones.

The rigid burns more easily because there's less total surface area applied. Or at least that's my guess. We went back to the flex bands exclusively.feel free to elaborate/tell a story!
I'm looking at this band selection thing from the POV of a street & drag truck application, moderate-to-higher HP

Yes, the wear pattern is terrible on the rigid. Are you suggesting that when it is clamped the rigid band does not wrap 'circularly' around the drum, causing certain spots to wear more quickly?
forgive my ignorance.
I would love to spend $40 for the flex band versus $160 for the hot-shiit rigid.
^Right on.
Is a filter extension necessary when installing a deep pan?
If you don't mind me asking, what was the total on those parts?
