48re no second gear

I did a typical in a hurry take off from the house,truck shifted to second ,I think I heard a pop at the same time rpm shoot up to rev limiter.let completely off throttle and it shifts I guess to third and all is fine 4th and lock up. I was in route to pick up gooseneck near 13000 lbs. Babied it home and in the shop to diagnose also Park not working dang near got a tailgate.
Any input appreciated so I can find the broken parts and order parts . Hopefully not A broken band.

I had the same thing happen to me when i was drag racing and with was the band that the spot weld broke on and caused it to lodge the anchor in the band. pull the pan and valve body and check the band. might have broken the apply arm or bent the strut arm.

Thanks, I'm headed to the shop to raise truck up and drain it. Hopefully it's the anchor or arm.

The strut arm was broken,new hopefull truely upgraded parts on the way.
