48re VB to 47re

8 pins are the same, you should ring out the the coils on the solenoids, that would verify the wiring. Where did the 48RE VB come from?

Verify that you have 12V at the VB connector.

The VB sat for a couple years in a garage wrapped in plastic, could that have caused a problem?

Depends on the history of the VB. I have a 48RE in my 1997, no issues. We also put on in a 2001 with no issues.

Really? That's what I was thinking, that there should be no problems, what if I swapped all the electronics from my 47re VB into the 48 VB?

And it is an ATS.
 
Well I guess I know what Saturday is going to be about then, LOL, maybe I will just swap it back to stock and send the 48re VB off to get checked out
