5.41 ET in 1/8th Albany, GA.

Went to Albany for the Redneck Nationals, alot of Very very impressive rides there. But the one that stood out was a 7/8th scale S10 pro stocker that was Cummins powered with no nitrous went a 5.41 in the 1/8th. Cool thing is he is the owner/driver/mechanic and has only limited sponsorship.
Spray that thang and head to Bakersfield driver!

Team Green was on point all day, great time trials and racing. Phillp did a awesome job on the tree and on the wheel. Congradulations to the Stuckey team.

There were so many post worthy moments there this is just a couple will leave the rest for others to post.

OH...there was a JR dragster there, 13 years old and cut a .01 light on a pro tree every pass.....reckon he gives lessons?
 
That didn't take long to figure out. LOL . Truck looked great, after the first shakedown pass it looked like it was on a rail for the next two passes that I saw.
 
5.41 is a very low 8 if you carry it out the back half. Sounds like he's getting it dialed in.
 
he about put it in a guardrail in the burnout box lol everybody tensed up for at least .5 seconds hahaha I was impressed with the big red 4x4 megacab cutting 8.0's all day on 37's
 
Did anyone get video? Sounds like this was a good weekend for some great footage.

It was a great weekend, lots of fun. It was Darren's Pro-mod truck and his first burnout got a little hairy when he pointed it at the christmas tree, but he made a great recovery and came back to make a great pass.
 
That was a 5.4x @ 119 mph was with a bad transmission....when he let off on the big end, he didn't hit the brakes to slow it down. The transmission put such a drag on the truck that it brought the truck to a stop. Just imagine what it would have run had the tranny been at 100%! Previous pass was 5.67 @ 121 mph for reference.
 
Damn - that is moving!!

Anyone have pics or video of the truck? Would love to see it.
 
I've got some pic's from Albany, just waiting on them to download. My truck will probably run OK if I can get it to quit killing headgaskets:hehe: I gotta laugh, or it would probably kill me. By the way, doe's anyone happen to have some video of my one and only pass?? Let me know, all I have are still pic's. By the way, congratulation's to Darren for trying what noone else has. Gary
 
i'm impressed haha god this is gonna be a GREAT year for diesel drag racing!!!
