5" inlet on S400, use 4" or 5" intake?

if i have problems with this amsoil ill be switching to a k&n. they flow great because the filter like sh*t
 
I used to use a 14" long afe and it worked well. from what I can tell, my aem filter now is about exactly the same as open pipe. Im gonig to do some more testing, but so far this thing is awesome. oh and its still 99.99% efficient
