500 hp ??????

i've got a friend who wants to take his truck to around 500hp what all should we do to the trans . sorry for the ignorance i'm a d-max guy it is an 06 common rail with the auto .

dont need much

I dont know much either about a cr, but from what ive read.. this will do

62 series turbo
Smarty/Mp8 stack
built trans
Airdog 150
exhaust
gauges
AFE intake

should be really close..., but some small injectors will definately push it over 500, or a minor CP3 mod

my educated guess, im a 12V guy and a CR rookie

A torque converter, valve body, shift clutches, and transmission controller like an ats copilot. That should hold ya unless your planning on competing with it then ya may as well just drop 5 grand on a fully built tranny
