53 Block

We passed up a good deal on a truck with a 53 earlier this year. We didn't think there was any sense in buying a truck that is known to have problems when we would be using it to tow very heavy.
I wouldn't be afraid to buy one as a daily driver if I came across a good deal though. Then again I have a couple of spare blocks laying around just in case!! :hehe:

i just bought a truck that was a 98 24v and had over 312k on it when the block cracked so the if it lasts 150k its not going to break is BS this truck was bone stock til 290k then he put a set of 80hp injectors thats it hardly towed heavy with it mainly just a commuter and it doesnt get much flatter then Indiana where im from i got the truck cheap the guy thought a freeze plug was leaking but the block was cracked right under it where they normally crack. o well i have a brazillian ISB block i got a steal on so im going to put a cam, valve springs, and fire ring it and stud it while i have it out and drive it
