6.4 tailpipe fire caught on vid.

What are you guys talking about? All Ferds sound like that. It's either that green apple splatter sounding noise or now I guess they're going for more of the ticking loose rod ambience.
 
I was a Ford guy my whole life and now I drive this, along with my Dad, Brother, and best buddy traded our Ford's in for Dodges.

There ya go. This feels like a Dr Phil moment. If JD's family can cross over to the light, the rest of you beleaguered Ferd owners can do it too. You can do it... we know you can! Imagine being able to drive a truck that doesn't sound like a wore out Kirby vacuum cleaner. Imagine not having to put up with the stares, nasty jokes, and muffled laughter as you drop little johnny off at kindergarten.

It was hard and weird at first but now there is no way I am goin back unless they do something serious to turn this Bull**** around.

Just think if you pulled up next to your wheat field and had to watch your entire years profit burn up....however, if you could get those flames to come out a pair of stacks, now that would be cool!
 
LOL I think Fords fix for this should just be a set of 6 inch stacks on all 6.4 liter trucks. But, some garages might burn down that way.
 
They finally get the 6.0 worked out and now a flamethrower, sweet:ft: . Hope they fix it fast before someone gets hurt or they can't recover. Not a huge Ford fan, but I really don't want them to go under.

Some beaner on the news @ 6 o'clock, too bad it would have to be in sub-titles becaus no body can understand a dam* word they say!!
 
Maybe they will just start selling the Superdutys without motors. Warranty on everything else.
Drop a cummins into an empty engine bay of a nice new 450!

To bad, I still think Ford makes the best truck, other than the motor obviously.
 
the reason this truck sounds so crappy is because this dealer actually unplugged an injector.

the injector failed, which caused the flames, so they un-plugged that injector and another that was on the verge of failing.

dont give up guys, not all 6.4's are bad. at least lets hope not, we just placed an order for 3 of them. :/

I thought they were not selling them, that is what the local dealer just told our company.

Are you sure? When you disable injectors on commonrail Dmaxes, it sounds nothing like that at all.

I am with nwpadmax on this one. I doubt unlpugging a injector will make it sound like that.
 
i might just be a little slow but yeah exactly are the flames coming out the tail pipe:what: . the egts must be pretty high too.
