I bought my 2013 6.7/Aisin truck liberated. I was told by the previous owner it had a "hard flash" 40hp tow liberation tune from Texas shop, but I can't verify that.
I am looking for a little extra power while towing and some more pep when driving empty. The 35's noticeably zapped some power and I've got 37's to install next. Spending $1200+ on EFIlive tunes for a relatively stock truck that has already been liberated seems wasteful, not to mention with the current climate I've already been turned away by more than one shop.
How much of a risk would I be taking if I bought a harness/box/module setup and ran it on one of the lower settings? I'm talking things like a TS Stryker, Stealth Module and Edge. I see some going for $200-300 locally used.
Am I going to have timing and/or headgasket issues? Can I use a monitor gauge to watch timing, pressures, and EGTs?
