Super B special, DDP 90s, II 85% cp3, TNTR, EZ, AD150

Les (2007 5.9) and I headed down to Brown's Diesel and made a few runs on the dyno. After lots of different settings, we ended up with a best of 650hp and 1509 torque. Best numbers were running TNTR on sw9, rp1, tq2, tm1, EZ on 2. tried many settings between SW6 (596hp) and SW9(650hp).

Also took a shot of the drive pressures vs. boost on the super B special.

Congrats on the new numbers Les, with my A5k and bigger injectors I can barely crack 1300tq on the same dyno.

nice numbers...that is a ton of torque! hey jp you pullin on the 16th?

If I can get this put back together, and the UPS gods bless me -- yes.

Congratulations. So how did the numbers compare between LCD and Browns Diesel?

Running the same settings before the pump swap..so run for run..Brown's was 30hp lower, but once I was able to get it loaded right it was only 10hp low...so in my eyes, its negligible. I will do some runs next week on LCD's dyno tune for tune, to see what I make there.

Thanks to JP, Erick Brown, and the HP Gods for being on my side!!!!

Interesting how boost starts to drop at the end of the run as RPM increases and drive pressure increases. One would assume the wastegate is open as well, I wonder if peak HP would continue to go up if the wastegate where left closed longer to take full advantage of all the exhaust flow.

Inseresting find you found, but nevertheless the WG was pinched off with vice grips after we found out my line to my regulator has melted. During these runs WG was pinched off

boost drops off when fuel is pulled away. He wasn't running the 4000 rpm option.

Nice numbers Les. Looks like you will put on quite a show tomorrow night at the drags.

With a pinched off wastegate, it makes sense that drive pressure spiked.

I don't see how boost can fall off when fuel is pulled back if drive pressure is still really high. Maybe drive pressure is more closely related to RPM and fueling merely affects exhaust temperature. If EGT falls, obviously boost will decline as there would be less energy in the exhaust to power the turbine wheel.

I wish I owned a dyno so I could play around with wastegating for a few weeks. I wonder if high drive pressure really does hurt peak HP or if it only matters at the racetrack. Pushing a turbocharger out of it's map still pushes more air than when the turbo is in it's map.

Here is the graph finally....ive been slacking is posting it up.
