I have a 1997 Powerstroke with a leaky fuel pump. I need to replace it. Does anyone know of an aftermarket version better/more recommended then a new OEM Fuel pump?

I'd go with an electric fuel system (electric lift pump). It allows you to ditch the weak mechanical pump in the valley and run a better pump along the frame rail. You can build them yourself for pretty cheap, but below are a few regulated return systems that are out there. Going electric is a night and day difference.
