I seem to recall seeing some pseudo round/rectangular port ones, but I cannot imagine they are ideal by any means. Don't quote me on what I think I saw, but they're referring to the obviously different exhaust ports between the two.

When they first started being produced they were being cut with a "universal" style exhaust port that allowed CR & 12v.

Mine is cut this way. It doesnt seem restrictive to me.
