95 1500 Dodge w/318 to 6BT Race Truck

I know this thread hasnt been looked at in a while but how hard was it to put the motor in? I have a 1500 4x4 short wheel base and had an idea about a pro-street truck.

The motor is mostly drop in. THe cab and underhood compartments are the same on 1500s and 2500s

Sorry for the late reply.

Yesterday was my b-day and i've been out of the shop.

Hey WES
I have a 3/4 ton 2wd that I am looking to setup like your truck. I had talked to several times through pm and you have been a big help. I am looking to shed some weight off the front of my 3/4 ton. Does anyone make control arms for a 3/4 ton or will half ton components fit? What did it take to run coilovers up front as far as modifying DJM control are? Are you running stock uppers? Also are you running rack and pinion steering up front?

thanks
JEd

Sorry bout the late reply. Been out of town and have limited internet.

I'm running a stock upper arm that I sectioned.

The DJM lower has tabs welded to it to allow me to bolt the coil-over to it.

The tricky part is making the upper shock mounts and getting the geometry right, as well as getting the upper arms sectioned the proper amount.

I'm not running rack and pinion, but have looked into it.
Its not a big deal to do.

If I narrowed my dana 70 What axles and spool would you recomend to run in it? I think we talked about this before but I cant seem to find the pm:bang
