Up for sale is my 1996 Dodge Ram 3500 2wd Automatic Trans.
I purchased this truck last year with plans to strip it down into a fun street/strip truck, well times changed and most of my truck funds went to purchasing some lakefront property. It’s not hurting me to keep the truck and she is a blast to drive, but I know that I won’t be modifying extensively anytime soon so if I can get away from another vehicle to maintain the better.
The Good:
Full Billet Goerend Trans, just gone through by Dave himself less than 5k ago. Lifetime warranty triple disk converter and still warranty left on the trans itself. Billet Flex Plate- $5500
DDP4 140HP injectors- $979
HTT 66-71-16 Prostreet with Stainless Steel Housing - $1800
HTT exhaust manifold- $459
ARP Headstuds- $459
60# valve springs
#10 Plate? I believe
Timing 18*
Power Everything (Locks, windows, Seats, overhead console temp)
All 6 tires with around 5,000 miles on them, still look new!
Interior is in really good shape for the truck’s age. Dash is NOT cracked, all seats with the exception of the normal driver seat tear are in good shape. All glass is crack free.
A/C was just gone through less than a month ago. NEW compressor, NEW evaporator, NEW dryer, NEW heater core… Thing blows COLD air!! (About $700 in parts and labor)
NEW serpentine belt
Starter less than 5K old
Replaced Head Gasket less than 5k ago with new ARP studs
New Cummins 180* Thermostat
New valve cover gaskets and front cover seal (This truck leaks NO oil!)
Lock up switch installed
Factory Tow Package
The Bad:
While the body is really in great condition the paint is showing its age.. a few rust spots on the driver side fender and a few scrapes here and there… Definitely doesn’t look like a ‘work’ truck, but is not a gleaming finish by any means
