97 twin turbo 4x4

i'd love to have your truck but can't aford that much tell me more about this 95 you know about

how are you getting 20+ mpg

By not driving it like a dumbass, and keeping the boost down. Not smoking everything out. Having an AFC that's not gutted, works really well. :rockwoot:

20 mpg plus, while driving on interstate. Now, its not so great in town - usually low teens. :Cheer:

Well I don't drive like a "dumbass" and I barely smoke. I have it pretty tuned and I can't seem to get over 14.5-15 mpg. My driving is about 50/50 on city vs. hyw and I was wondering if my timing could be the issue. I was thinking of backing it off to maybe 15 or so what do you think it's at 16.5

Timing is not your problem. Your setup could get better mileage with a different driver, same as my truck. You may think you are nice to it. My buddy says he is nice to his truck, but in my eyes he beats the hell out of it. Never ever go over 2psi boost, and see where your mileage goes.

Under 2 psi is impossible driving down the hyw at 65 mph I am at 10 psi unless of course it's down hill. I was told that drive pressure would be to high for factory head bolts if I advanced it any more

My twins seem to be about 6-7psi while cruising at 75mph. Added timing may help though, but all trucks, and all drivers are different.

You could buy my truck, and that would help your mileage..:poke:

Constant boost at cruise may be more, but at least keep it uner 5 psi under acceleration.

I can do it, so can you.

10 psi at 65?

I'll trade you, you would have to look really hard to find a truck as clean as mine, it's flawless inside and out no hacking no half assing just turned 133,000 and it's all on paved road miles

yea I hear you my next truck will be a 03-05 mega cab also. My son would kill me if i got rid of his first truck anyway. Good luck to you on the sale

where I live there is a lot of rolling hills nothings flat and im at 5600 feet so I am sure thats why my boost is higher to maintain 65 mph
