the injectors ran great, but i can't wait for him to tell you guys about the great working, proper sizing 66 turbonetics worked for him, glad to see you at the blackout, i will say those injectors ran smooth at idle
Auh mannnn.....bustin' muh ballz again....:kick:
oke:
Well, if any of you were at the Blackout, you saw how the turbo performed from a dead stop, and trying to spool it using the brakes...:bang
Eric (Innovative Diesel) was there to Re-flash my FICM, and tune up the tunes for me...THANK YOU ERIC!!!!!:rockwoot::woohoo:
After Eric did his "Thing", we went for a test drive. Windows down, no helmet...you get the idea...I put it in 4x4, and tried to spool it up again, this time, after playing with the throttle, I was able to get 15 psi of boost out of it, and launched it.
On my second run on the track, I tried "Pre-staging", then boosting up, and then moving into the "Full-stage" position. The problem was, I had the windows up, and a full-faced helmet on, and could not hear the turbo at all...and after a bit, the track official motioned for me to get my a$$ up to the line, as the other guy was already staged. (I would have been pissed too if it were me waiting for someone else to spool up.)
Needless to say...from a dead stop, and holding the truck with the brakes trying to spool the turbo was not working very good.
But...with the Tow tune, and no trailer behind me...it spooled ok from a dead stop. (Not holding the truck back)
I think a 2500 stall converter may be needed to fully utillize this turbo...just waiting to hear back from Brian at BWD.
Shawn and Eric said nitrous would help out alot, but I wanna stay away from that yet...
