A Duramax of a different color!

You guys should take it up to Kilcare in Xenia one thursday night theres usually a few trucks running test and tune....

they only live about 10 minutes from Tri-State in Hamilton and haven't taken it there yet. On another forum Ed said that they found something in the Oil filter and so they may be tearing it down.

We still have some issues to work out but the motor appears fine (thankfully). The material was from where we tapped a cover for the turbo oil drain.

Had bad injectors set us back. Replaced them last night with good ones and now we have a harness issue somewhere. Never ending nightmare!!

You will get it all figured out. Try not to rush yourselves and keep plugging away. It takes time, and sometimes you think it won't ever end. It will be fine once you get all the bugs out. A pull truck is a project that is never finished. If you ever think it is, something will break or go wrong to remind you it is not.

That truck is badass....... Very well done.

Good luck with it Ed, hope you get all the problems figured out...I can' wait to see some videos of that thing pulling

Thanks Bobo. I hear what your saying. It's been a struggle, but we have found out it takes a lot of work to get to the next level with one of these and we've learned a few hard/expensive lessons already but we're not throwing any towels in yet. Biggest pain in the ass is listening to all the friends around us that don't understand any of the issues with a commonrail, converting a gasser to a diesel, all the custom parts, etc and just expect things to work.:bang

I haven't pulled since Sept 07 so I'm more than ready to get it going.

One hell of a unique sound for sure:rockwoot:, reminds me of the banks drag truck

We found a short in one injector harness. Idleing back to normal with the valve covers off. Need to get it buttoned back up and see if we can have some luck on our side for once.

the next level is with out a doubt the hard part. We wish you the best of luck.

We are having our own run of bad luck between Injectors and other small little things.
