Looks great but why post the same picture 3 times? LOL

Adam, that looks beautiful but how are we to check the oil level?

Well I use a screw driver and stick in the hole as a dipstick.

With all your fab skills and you didn't turn an aluminum dipstick/fill plug on the lathe? For shame! Thats my favorite feature on my Mag-Hytec. The magnetic drain plug is another must have!

Any plans for one of those for a D60 front?

That looks awesome! I agree with the drain plug, that would make it perfect! Does it hold extra fluid?

This is my first one of these. Yep Ill get one built with a drain plug. They are about the same volume (by eyeball), but with the drain plug higher you can add more fluid.

Looks like this one may not break your spare tire cable when you hit a bump and eject your spare tire like the Mag High Tech does. Differential covers don't need dip sticks or drain plugs. You need to pull the cover when changing the fluid so you can clean the metal out of the bottom of the hog head and take a look at the gears. It's a lot less chance of over filling with the plug being near the level and a lot easier to draw a little bit out when this happens.
That one does look nice.

I think higher fluid levels would create seal leaks...making it deeper to add volume seems like a better idea. $.02

What would the benifit be of having extra volume???
None
If you over fill one too much when the oil is cold it foams up and wouldn't have enough room for the expansion. So out the vent it goes making a mess. Synthetic foams worse than dino so leave more room for it.

BTW: The flange is 1/2" and the cover is 1/4"

I like all the input, helps me make them better.
