AAM 11.5 Heavy Diff Cover

I think just the Chevys have the drain in the case.

Do we have a problem with the rears running hot? I have felt mine after a long trip with the trailer and pulling truck. The tires feel hotter then the diff.

I've never had my d80 get very hot... wether pulling or towing a trailer to CO. I could always put my hand on it and it was at most warm.

Ya I dont think that there is a big problem with them running hot, but that is the idea of the deep covers. On a side note has anyone thought of building a cover that uses adjustable braces that go from the cover to the ends of the axletubes? I have seen this before on a couple drag cars with 12 bolts to stop the axle from flexing.

Nice cover! Reminds me of the one made by Great Lakes Offroad.

Yep G.L.O. builds them, so does blue torch fab and ballistic fab. I buy parts from all of them.

I buy dana 80 cover shells from GLO and beef them up and add bearing supports.

Its cheaper to buy the cover then mod it then it is to build the entire thing.

Good point. I knew it looked familiar to me.
