Adjustible pump gear

How are you all getting the little timing pucks out of your adjustible pump gear? Seems like I try a new way every time and its always a pain. My last one was stuck in tight enough I actually had to tap it and use vise grips and pry bar to get it out.

Trying to get it right with the new set-up is takin some work. No one has any tips on whats they think is easiest?

I just put a pencil magnet on mine and they always jut popped out. Never stuck in the gear for me

Hu, maybe mine was just turned out a little tight... I actually have to tap them in with a small brass hammer.
