I know there's a few of yall on here who have been beta testing this and I'm sure some of yall have been using the production version. I'm curious as to what settings yall have been running and how they've performed. I might be getting on the dyno this weekend and I'm gonna try this stuff out and I'm wanting a base line as to where to start playing.

Its going to be different for every single truck. That is why it is custom tuning!

More pump stretch = more torque, at some point you get less hp on the top end

More timing = more power, more stress

Most of the other stuff is tuning for street usage.

Get on the dyno, leave it in PL10, adjust the pump stretch between runs, that is where I would start anyhow. Make changes of at least 100uS.

Ok. Cool. Last time I dynoed levels 5, 7, and 10 didn't change my numbers any so maybe I need some tweaking.

good info....i am going to have to get back on the dyno and do some playing....i dynoed with the older Comp tune and loss 40+ hp ...same power on PL4 as PL10 :bang

In some cases where you have giant injectors you might even try lower stretch numbers? You might also turn the timing advance down?

There is only so much fuel available, so at some point you will run out.

I think the Drag Comp would be about equivalent to 1200 pump stretch just for reference.

That is awesome how you explain how your box works. I think I have this custom tuning down to a science now. Thanks Quad!

For the dyno, you want to concentrate on low to mid range power. I've noticed that my truck feels strongest with fuel stretch at 2200 [low to mid range]. I would play with the settings above 1800 & see where it feels strongest, then hit the dyno. I'm rooting for you Tyler. Hope you break 235hp.:hehe:

Qzilla, Is it possible to post the different tunes in "customtuningnumbers" as you did with the comptune in one of the DTR Beta threads? It would be a nice baseline to know this when playing around with diff. settings.

Is there a way to make comptune to comp1tune with the customtuning?

They are all the same. The only difference between the tunes now is the MAX pump stretch. 1000 = 1400, 2000= 1600, COMP and DYNO = 1800.

The old COMP1 was also 1800.

The difference is setting the TPS MIN on both CAN and PUMP down to 0% but, then you may get the good old surging but, you will have fueling start at 1% TPS.

Ok. Thanks! I just noticed the old tunes had been removed.
Is there a way to eliminate Factory Rev. Limiter as in the old comp1?

Drove around on town on PL9 today with FS:2200, T:10.0, TPS min:0% TPS max 70% on both, TS:0%, BS:25 Psi

Surging? YEEES. Responsive? YEEES.:rockwoot::rockwoot::rockwoot:
No whining about surge here, just plain fun.

For streetdriving I go back to the ADR1000 tune with no smoke and no surge.

I downloaded the adr2000 tune and it came preset with only 0-3 power levels and max pump stretch was 1200? I up'd the PL's to 10 and left the pump stretch at 1200 and drove around on level 5. Smoke is down, no surge, nice running tune, but definitely didn't have the punch that the old 2000 tune had. Guess that comes from the pump stretch being at 1200 vs. the 1600 it's supposed to be. When I get back home in 2 weeks I'll up the pump stretch and see how it runs then.

Quad can u pm me i tried to pm you but your inbox is full. I need to ask you a couple questions about the pulse.

I loaded the Dynotune and got the same thing you described. I think it was a brainfart though. I noticed pulse said T1 and in that place the FuelStretch was set to 1200. This was the first time I put a tune in with CustomTuning enabled... I loaded factory tune, and there was the Dynotune. I don´t know why it started up with the Tune 1.

You know I didn't even bother to see if that's what happened with mine but I'll bet that's what it is.

Stupid question quad but when it says factory tune does that mean the standard settings that you set the tune up with?

No. it will be the last tune that you updated your box with. you can only save the tunes that you tweak to tune 1 or two. whatever you loaded in your box is the factory tune from wich your baseline started.

When I said "you set the tune up with" I meant what quad set it up with. Sorry for the confusion.

Tyler, you can save 2 custom tunes plus 1 off the website.

You can also save 3 tunes off the website. Just load one, turn on pulse and go into custom tuning and leave everything alone and save the tune. At this point you now have the website tune under factory place and the same website tune under tune1. Then you remove the Adr and load up a new tune from the website. You can then go into custom tuning and save this new tune as tune2. At this point you will have first website tune held under tune1, second website tune held under factory and tune2. You can then disconnect the Adr and load up a third tune from the website. At this point, you will then have 3 different tunes. Of course, you can do the same thing by loading a tune, tweaking it, and then saving it under tune1 or tune2.

You guys are killing me reading all this. I got the call this evening, my truck is done. I'm picking it up tomorrow! Can't wait to try some tuneage!
