OK I think my MAP sensor is shot. I went to pull it out but it seems it has a 1/1-16 head, but no wrench or socket can reach it. I am unsure how to remove it. HELP PLEASE!!! My rig is a 99'.

It seems to have a plastic collar on it and I cant get to the bolt.....I dont get it

can you get a wrench in there on it??? Mine took about 2 minute to change. Socket just slipped right over the sensor and it backed out

OK got it changed, but the truck is the same, still throws map codes, voltage either to high or sometimes to low. Still takes forever to spool and only makes about 23psi

Have you checked for boost leaks? My old comp and the adr would sometimes throw the voltage to high or low code for the map but it never affected the performance.

Yeah no boost leaks anywhere. It acts like the wastegate is stuck open. Anyone have this happen?

I've seen a bad connection at the map or canbus act similar. Check to make sure a wire isn't pushed up in one of the plugs too.

It smokes constantly, like as soon as you touch the pedal. Also Its been this way for a week, sucked down a tank of diesel to the tune of 10mpg, used to get 18. Guess I'll check all ADR connections, but even with the ADR module unplugged from the harness its the same way. And my truck still raps out like a Duramax.

That's what my buddy said till we pulled his air filter off one night and noticed the intake tube and the entire intake side of his turbo coated in oil. Also had another buddy run a drag comp with 200+hp injectors through a stock turbo and the blades on it got all torn up from being oversped.

Yeah the intake side on my turbo has some oil and soot on it. Not sure why, but the blades are fine, and it is good and tight, no more than normal shaft play. I'm starting to think my VP is just on its way out and I'm just dribbling fuel, so no power or boost but LOTS of black smoke...? This thing is a headache
