Adrenaline Problem----Map???

Changed fuel filters just cause it was time anyway and that of course didn't help. Also I played with the rod for the wastegate and got it to move a little so I don't think thats it either.

How are your egts? Are you sure theres no boost leak? I saw a truck with the same symptoms as you describe & it turned out that the boot closest to the turbo was off at the bottom. The boot actually sucked out from under the clamp. I saw another truck, same issue & the lower boot on the drivers side got cut by the fender.

Visual inspection, but I felt the clamps and everything seems tight, but I suppose there could be a tear somewhere or maybe a hole in the intercooler?

If the wastegate moved, its gotta be a boost leak. Get yourself a rubber fernco, PVC cap, drill a hole in the cap & thread in a air fitting & pressurize the system. Set your regulator to 6psi & check for leaks using some windex. Little leaks all over = big problems.

Well I need to do that but in the mean time I cranked the boost elbow all the way in. I went over all the intercooler boots again and everything seems fine but guess I wont know without testing it. So I went for a spin with the elbow cranked in, it was the same, still only 23psi or so. Drove for a little while and all the sudden it would make 30. Little while later it would make 35. the highest I saw was about 38, but it used to make more, although I had it set at 40. So I'm confused.

But I have a new theory. It started doin this about the time I rigged up my water/meth system. I was having problems with the switch and it was staying on all the time, I hit the switch to turn it off when I would stop and it would stay on. The nozzle I used is massive and will empty a 5 gallon bucket in like an hour. So because of all this I managed to go through about 3 gallons in like 45mins. So I'm wondering if since it was still spraying when I was stopped and not really burning it if now I have like 2 gallons of water meth sitting in the bottom of my intercooler, restricting flow and making it take forever to build boost. I just stopped playin with it a few days ago, so maybe now its gettin better as the water burns up/evaporates. This make sense at all???

Well I popped the bottom boot off and no water:bang Any more ideas?

Thats a nice way to hydro lock your motor. Got to be careful with a manual switch!

Thats exactly what was happening, I guess the ol' girl burned it all. Anyway now I got new problems. My VP died so I'm gonna make a new thread on that.

Seriously. Call up Midwest Fuel Injection. $1000 or so and you'll have a brand new SO pump.
