I am getting air bubbles in the fuel, causing the engine to stumble

Have a 3 gallon tank
mounted up front
electric pump feeds 7 lbs
when I look inside the tank

what I have right now
is the return attached to a fitting at the top of the tank

Should I have a feeder line/ down tube/straw
going toward the bottom of the tank, for the return
the supply line feeds from the bottom

I'm trying to figure out, the cause of the bubbles

Thanks for any ideas

Splash from the return will aerate it for sure, fixing that will help at a minimum.

I'm using a 1 gallon fuel cell on my car and ended up running the return about 2 inches above the bottom of the fuel cell.

I don't think it made any difference though compared to just dumping the return above the fuel level. If you have way too much lift pump than required it will make things worse.

Is your lift pump mounted lower than the fuel cell ?

where is your feed line coming out of? or did I miss that?

edit your post confused me a little. so the feed is coming off the bottom?

With a splash return, you can't NOT get aeration, ever watched the FASS or Airdog demo videos with splash return?

Thanks Everyone

The video's really helped to see what was going on under the surface....Wow

Made a tube for it to go near the bottom of the fuel cell

engine now, runs like it should

Also saved me,
from pulling the pump to get checked out.
because when i bought the truck
it wasn't running, and didn't know why it was parked

Thanks again
