Air Bag light flashing

just out of the blue my air bag light started flashing, I gave my truck a quick look over, everything seems to be in place. Is this a common problem? what should I look for? Do I need to take and have it put on a scanner?

I would say that you would need to have a dealer pull codes. I personally don't want to mess with the airbag system. To much of a chance of something going wrong. It would be a mess to be driving down the highway and then the airbag just goes off because you were screwing with it.

gonna have to get the codes...fwiw autoenginuity will get the
airbag codes...most generic obd2 tools wont give you airbag codes.

I just used my autoenginuity to pull some codes on a friends
Mazda Tribute (Ford Escape)...the codes pointed us to the
drivers side seat belt pre-tensioner
