i just find the $90 dollars hard to beat for a pre made one.

yea.. thats a helluva deal. if its big enough.. thats why i posted. to try n get an idea of what is too small. if that will work i might just buy one. if not.. ill take one of my batteries out and have him make me a custom fit intercooler and tank.

The bigger the better. Get the biggest one they make, too small and you wont see much gain.

Testing mine on the dyno I picked up around 25hp when I packed ice on the a/w but really the differance is how much quicker the charger spooled. With no cooling from the a/w it was a struggle to get some boost built to start a run on the dyno. With it iced down it would light instantly. This is on 900+ hp runs.

the one i am lookin at is 12x12x4.5 w/ 3" in and out

Hey guys - watch the dimensions on those units. The core size is really only 4X4X12. The overall dimensions are 12x12x4.5. You might as well run your boost lines through a coleman icechest for that size. :hehe:

Here are the ones I use. They are 10" wide and 20" long. The core is 10x10. They work very well and are a very good price also.

hey anthony.. would one of those do the trick on a 2.6 truck? if anything i might step up to a 2.8 charger on that truck but that would be as high as i go for quite a while.

ok, just one that size is good? are those the ones you pm'd me about?

Yes, I use 2 on my super street truck with a 3.4 charger. But do not use water injection. 1 on that size truck will be very good. Its no small cooler thats for sure.

awesome. thanks for the help. ill have to pick up one of these once i get back to work and start makin some freakin money!
