I just installed an airdog 150 and the truck will run for 15 seconds and then it dies. We tied the wires straight to the battery to see if the pump was just kickin off but the truck still died and the pump stayed on? I am clueless and need my truck runnin ASAP. Please help!

Thanks!

Did you make sure you have fuel at the cp3? ie: loosen the AN fitting, turn pump on, see the fuel leak out, tighten AN fitting and crank truck up?

Well now that I think about it you probably have the new quick connect crap so just un-snap it and wait for fuel to come out and re-connect. And try to start.

Have you verified that the AD stays running all the time?

Yeah I ran fuel out of the line at the cp3 and made sure that I had all the lines hooked up right. I ran the pump straight to the battery and it stayed on so I don't understand why the truck shuts off after 10 seconds?

Thanks for the advice. I hope I get it figured out.

Cycle the ignition switch on-off-on-off-on and tell us what codes flash across the instrument cluster. If there is none it will display "none" or "done". If there is multiple codes they will be displayed one after the other, have a pen and paper handy.

Did you bypass the in tank pump? You have to have a draw straw or it will do that.

I will check for codes when I get back home.

Yeah I have the draw straw in it.

Thanks.

Any chance the return and engine feed got mixed up?

I thought the same but I have checked it like 5 times now double checking.

Also it's the 150 so I don't believe you can adjust the regulator? Maybe I'm wrong.

i had mine grounded to the battery and it would not run, then moved the ground to the fender and it has worked fine for me

I'll try that. Would it start and die or would it just not run at all?

Thanks!

maybe a fitting loose also? how are you getting fuel out of the tank? the draw straw it came with or a sump?

Are you sucking air with the draw straw or the quick connects? I've seen that happen before. And you don't need a gauge. Just use a scanner that can data stream.

I don't think I am sucking air from the draw straw because I have a quarter of a tank and cut the straw super close to the bottom of the tank like I was told, but maybe the quick connects. What would be the best way to check that?

Just verify you don't have a bunch of airated looking fuel or lack of fuel at the cp3. It would be helpful to see what RP was.
