Altering wheel base?

Does anyone know if there is a rule about altering the wheel base in a puller? Been watchn ext. cab long beds run with st. cabs...and thats got me thinkn!

i have been wondering about this to. i have seen a couple gassers running around here with altered wheelbases but wondered about it in diesel classes

The only rule that I know of states that the wheel base must match the truck.

And the wheels must be centered in the wheel well.
