Alright, here is the solution I came up with. I was afraid to cut 2/5 fins off and having it be unbalanced so instead I trimmed a little off of all 5 fins.
First I took the top ring off that the napa replacement had on the end of the fins that is shown in BBD's pic below. Then I got the grinder out and trimmed all the fins back as shown in my MSPaint model below LOL. The black is obviously the original profile, and the red is the new profile. I will report back this summer after driving and pulling it a few times at 4k and see if I have any problems with the coolant pressure.
