2000 ford f250 towing 10.000 pounds the other day and alternator over charged to 17 volts. replaced alternator with new alt from napa and still did not fix my problem took alternator off my couisins truck and still no charge. replaced with good pcm only seeing 11.80 volts of charge. any one have any ideas getting very ticked with this thing.power to batt wire is same as batt voltage ignition wire pluged to alt has 2.01 volts when unpluged has 11.80 volts. any body have this problem before.
