Am I about to do something stupid??

Well...finished the new battery install.

thats a lot of cranking power. didn't think you needed that much to start er....:poke:

It's the running load that's rather large.

Four 14" fans on the rad.
One 16" fan on the rear mounted trans cooler.
Aeromotive marine fuel pump.
On board air compressor. (Doesn't run very often though.)

And the stereo...

Tell me you are running a Mean Green or MechMan alt with all those goodies.

High beams on, A/C on high, all fans on, and stereo cranked up...at an idle, it only dropped down to 12.7vdc.
At one point I measured over 97amps...at idle...so I think she should be good running down the road.

if that is copper tubing, WELL DONE mate.

Thats what I was gonna say

The wire is run inside of it.

I got a thread on what I did last winter.
The box for the JL12W7 turned out ok too...had to get the stock KR captain chairs for the back seats, but it's ok.

Found a used bumper for $100.00

Just asked him for pictures of the actual bumper for sale...not a picture of a brand new bumper.

If it's good, and not smashed up...one of 'em is gettin cut!:evil

Damn....your truck is as nice inside as out. Awesome job on that amp and box. Glad you're going to try the cutting job on a spare bumper first.

Thank you for the kind words.

Still on the lookout for a spare bumper...the other one sold. :aiwebs_027:

Find a spare bumper, cut the hole. Then, use bars like a typical "billet grille" would have. THAT would look slick.

OTHERWISE! GORGEOUS TRUCK! WOW!

Wow that's intense.

Thanks for kind words guys.

I found a new bumper...waiting on shipping now.
I'm waiting until it shows up to make damn sure it's correct before I cut something.

A 6" round hole would fit in that spot I had marked out as well....
I also think that by making it look like newer bumpers, that have the lights on the ends...I mean, on every truck made since 2003 has them...
Went to the wreckers and asked for a 2012 front bumper...just to see if I could get it to fit...because they are formed like the '03's...

We shall see...:pop:

the 6.7 bumpers look good on the older trucks. they damn near bolt up, you just have to shim the bottom out so that it sits square.

But... then you kinda need an 08+ rear bumper to match

The guy at the wreckers said they were totally different.

I honestly thought it would look good, and wouldn't gave to cut FA.

well, they are totally different...

but they look good on the 6.0's. At least... I like them.

I prefer the stock look on your truck, but it certainly wouldn't hurt anything to see if you like the 6.7 bumper. They're pretty plentiful now for obvious reasons.
