Another 48re issue

Had an issue with my freshened up trans so I pulled it back out afte a few miles and found a freeze plug on the oil pump F'ED up.Never heard of one failing before but stranger things have happened.Now where to find a new plug or pump.

Was oil getting by through there?

Either oil was getting by or air was getting in, I had no lock up and the plug was on the TCC flow circuit.

Anybody have a hook up on a new oil pump for the transmission.?

So next chapter in my transmission issues-

I put a new pump in the trans, and seem to move fluid only in neutral not in any other gear. I have a clear plastic tube hooked up to the return line from the cooler into a 5 gallon bucket and you can see the flow in neutral then put it in any gear and the flow stops.

Before the new pump and with the old pump with the messed up freeze plug it would not move fluid in neutral or any gear.

This is getting old.

Give Goerend a call this morning sounds like a valve body issue!

Yeah I would agree if you put a new pump in it and its still not acting right its got to be a valve body problem. X2 on calling goerend they are always so helpful and nice!
