Ok, so Im basicaly ready to call it quits on this truck! Everytime I get close o getting it done....oops gotta take 20 things off, again!!!

So heres where I stand. Got the entire motor together and ready to go. Charaged up the batteries all last night so everything is ready to go when I get off work.

Well, it started off ok. Truck turned over...little ether, fire up a bit, little ether....then I could keep it started with a bit of right pedal.

Well, by this time our shop is FILLED with a dark grey thick smoke, no big deal. Well when the smoke filally clears...Lo and Behold, the turbo sprayed out oil all over the fire wall (no down pipe). The oil thats on the wall smells VERy burnt, but thats a given. And what is spriaying out is between :holt crap we got a huge problem" and " no big deal, it will fly".

I have no idea where it is comming from. Not from the turbo...came off a truck that was running just perfectly. Cant be comming from the crank case and there is no way it is comming from the head with the fire rings in.

My onlt guess is that somehow a bit of oil driped down the injector holes when they were out and I was adjusting the rockers. Its my only good quess and i hop Im right because it is going to be the easiest to fix?

Any ideas of where this is coming from???? Or any takes on the sale?

Yall wanna come up and give it a shot? This sucker is REALY getting me pretty mad!

Raw fuel maybe...................

but on a side not....when it did some what run....It loped like crazy!

Pull the turbo off and see if there is oil residue inside the manifold. If not, then its the Turbo, if there is, then its internal.

^^ x2 if you pull the exhaust manifold you could also see if its any specific cylinder/cylinders.

that was gonna be my next step. Im going to try 1 thing first, then the turbo is comming off.

If it is oil, I cant think of where it is domming from. if the head gasket is bad, it would spray this much oil out the exhaust. plus with the fire rings, I doubt any would get into the cylenders.

I learned the hard way one time, that if you accidentally have blockage in your crankcase vents, the turbo can/will dump oil like crazy out the back, just like you're saying. There was oil coming out the end of the tailpipe, and if you drove it, it smoked like a house on fire.

Took care of the blockage and everything was fine, turbo never smoked or had issues after that. Couple of guys I talked to were shocked that it didn't blow the front seal in the turbo, but it didn't.

Check the turbo drain tube...if it's blocked to charger will push oil out the seals

Call me if you want some help working on it...I'll be gone all weekend, but back next week.
