I put some on my EX back in April. After I put on 37's I started having problems with axle wrap. My 35's were fine, I could smoke em pretty easy with no axle wrap but after putting on the 37's combined with 4.30 gears the torque was too much. If I jumped on it hard from a signal or took off hard with the trailer behind it would put the tire into the back of the step. Once I installed the Caltracs all that was gone, with the trailer behind I could actually spin the tires! It does drive a little rougher in the rear but I couldn't drive it with out them.
I can't remember who I spoke with but they are all very helpful there. They will email you a link with a dimension sheet that is needed to order the Caltracs. (I'll try to find the link) I think I paid about $325-$350, not a bad price for traction/anti-wrap bars that work!
Anyone got a pic of Caltracs installed on a Superduty?
I have read many posts praising how well they work but I have never seen them installed on one of our trucks.
The price is more than reasonable and I'm interested in a set
These are on an F-350 I think? With Deaver springs in the rear, a 6" lift I believe. Pretty much the same as on my Ex, same brackets and bar length because I run F-350 rear springs on my Ex.
For a daily driver...towing rig and an off roader .. how well do they do for all of these? Also do you get any banging noises going down a washboard rd when that bolt bounces off the top of the spring when going from rebound to compression??
