Anyone else get this recall??

So I came home from work today, and I got this card in the mail from Chrysler...

Recall: B15 Diesel Engine Throttle Linkage

I didnt think that they would honestly put out a recall on a vehicle that is 13 years old..... and the funny part is that the truck will have a hand throttle in less than 2 months. Was just wondering if anyone else got this recall, and why it was sent out.

I had mine done about 2 months ago. The recall has been out for a while.

How long ago did you purchase the truck, they might just be catching up with you if you recently purchased it.

Ive had the truck for just about a year.. so possibly, Do you know why the recall was done?

Yes, the arm will fall off.

Recall 02V161000: Throttle Linkage Joint Corrosion



DEFECT: On these pickup trucks equipped with diesel engines, the throttle linkage joints can corrode and cause the throttle to bind or stick, increasing the risk of a crash.

REMEDY: Dealers will replace the rod ends and ball studs. The manufacturer has reported that owner notification is expected to begin during early August 2002. Owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact DaimlerChrysler at 1-800-853-1403.

It's for all the P-pump 12V trucks
