Hey Pat, here are the pics of the piston out of the motor. As Wade pointed out, this is an 04.5 piston. Earlier years were different.

? for ya' Pat, do you think the difference could be the amount of metal in the lip?? The CTD piston being larger with more material in the lip might help it deal with the heat better??

Why the difference in piston bowls? Does the lip help @ high RPM or make it cool better in stock trim? There must be a difference...I wonder what it is?
