like the title says anyone run them? im going to be right in the 50-55psi max range with my setup and wondered if anyone has these on their rigs? the guy that sells em says he has them on his pullling truck, only reason i would go with these over studs is price...any help would be great thanks guys

My truck had them when I bought it. Torques to 125lbs. Haven't had a blown gasket yet knock on wood.

u using them on the vp truck or the 12v?
on the vp you cant get enough timing in front of the boost to hurt these things..
on a 12v with high timing it would not be a good idea. imo.

Had Allen head bolts on my last motor torqued to 150ftlbs. 26degrees of timing and 80psi of boost. Never lost a gasket. Oringed head and .010gasket

Just and FYI, you can buy the Allen Head bolts through McMaster Carr or MSC and cut out the middleman, then sell what you don't use. Be sure to get Unbrako, Holochrome or Allen brand if you go with MSC, go with McMaster and you will get one of the three.

I paid 54 for my bolts and washers.

I am running the Fastenal grade 10.9 socket head Cap screws.. 135lbft stock gasket.. 75psi all last season..
And they were 60 bucks .. Not the 130 that mighty diesel wants....

Ill be the lazy one... Mind sharing the part numbers?

I don't remember to be honest! 10x130mm iirc... Then i used structural washers underneath...

I'll make it easy on you.

BOLTS

WASHERS

To say thanks, just sell me the left over washers, I can always use them, but to forgetful to buy them LOL

I'm mostly worried about the bolts holding up to heat cycles on a daily driver. Any been daily driving with these for a year or more?

If I remember right, the rocker stand bolts were a in between size for Mcmaster. I got both longer and shorter from them and didn't like either length.

MSC had the right length, but wanted like $20 each.

Been a while since I looked at that though.

The stock head bolts are grade 12.9 I just bought some grade 12.9 hex head bolts and they have a larger diameter than the stock head bolts. I plan on trying them out. $70 for 20 each size.

The stock bolts are torque to yield, they are made to stretch, the allen head bolts are not going to yield much short of breaking LOL I have used them in all kinds of high heat applications without issues, the bolts themselves are a much tougher material than the block or head.

That is what I figured also

Why would they be any different than any other 10.9 grade bolt?

I don't know much about fasteners, and the main concern I have read about running these bolts is that the heat cycles would get to them. It is much more reassuring for me to hear that they have successfully been run for years then 'they should work'
