recently heard of a guy who is running a 7.3 on 100% ATF. he used to run 50/50 but now uses straight ATF and since he runs a tranny shop he gets a ton of it.

any negative effects other than if you get dipped its gonna show up red LOL

ATF is a detergent, it will clean everything in the fuel system. I am sure there is a problem with it and the lubrication that is required by the fuel system provided by the diesel, but not sure about that. I have heard of running it in a motor, only a quart, for a few hours then changing the oil again so that it cleans out the internals but I have never done this, just what I have heard.

I saw a guy doing that. he had several steel mesh strainers inline and talked about 26mpg all the time. Not the most credible looking guy, but he said he had nearly 50k of running it.

Can't think it would have less lubricity than diesel fuel.

maybe hes just :blahblah1::bs:

running his mouth you know how much BS people say when they get to talking

the rabbit that i bought last march was running on straight tranny fluid.

There was a guy in the Diesel power mag a few monthes ago running 90% ATF in his 7.3 but that is alot different than running it in a cummins expecially a CR or a VP. Im running waste oil in my 12V right now but a low percentage like 3 gallons to every tank.
