ATS Trans?

I saw that ATS offers a remanufactured 47re for about $3300 which includes their triple lock converter which is new. It has their 5 year 500k warranty. I was wondering if anyone is running this trans and if the trans is any good? It sounds like a good deal and with that kind of warranty i dont see how you could beat it!
 
what you hav eto do is find out what they actually cover for that term of warranty. parts only? does it stipulate in the terms of the warranty that they will not warrant a failure due to excessive load etc.
In my experience anything with a warranty that seems to good to be true, is.
I can warranty a trans for the same time. chances are if I get it back, its something I can blame on you.
 
ATS trannys are very good. Good company to deal with. You will not be disappointed with that trans.

the trans i put in a friends truck was a stage 3 with billet shafts and 5 star converter... you would figure for 6800 bucks that the thing would work out of the box.... after getting the run around, all new electronics, paid for by me, and a trans pressure check, a computer reflash and 3 hours on the phone i finally had a replacement valvebody on the way... i personally wouldn't buy one.. it was purchased for the warranty.
but give jeff garmon a call.. i bet he can beat customer service with a stick and still have a good warranty, it may not be 500k worth, but it will be better than nothing.
 
That's weird. I've never had an issue with mine and nobody i know that has one has had any issues. Mines been in the truck for a couple years now and it has taken a beating and it keeps on going without missing a beat.
 
i hope for their sake i was the in the minority with problems... but 18 qts of max purple atf isn't cheap!
 
although 3300 for trans and converter is not too bad of a deal.. just have somebody that knows about trannys working with you if yo have a problem...
 
guess they cant figure out there valve bodys i had the same problem on a Allison i did a while back it didnt even make it out the door
 
I have had one in my truck for about four years with not issues.

Buy it, they're tops!!! Best customer svc in the industry. :hehe::hehe:
 
ATS has been great to me, you only ever hear the bad stories on here. I could go on and on about problems I have had with II, HTT, Goerend, DTT, and so on.

ATS will take care of you, you wont regret it.

Well thats your opinion. But again the OP wasn't asking what everyone thought of Garmon Trannies. He Asked about ATS.
