ATS Trans?

Iv beat the crap out of mine and not had any problems. Make sure you tell them what stall you want for the converter because they like to send out the 2400rpm stall if you dont specify. The only problem with there warranty is if you have a problem you need to send it to them before you get a replacment part,,,,,others will send you the part so you dont have to have your truck down...

Also on the waranty: It will not cover burnt clutches unless you pay for the HD clutch packs, it also won't cover broken hard parts.

For that price your not getting the hd clutch packs.

Yeah, and I've heard lots of stories about snake oil.

Any personal experience with ATS?

Yes and it was "Limited" :hehe:. Be Sure to let "Clint Cannon" know what individuals really think.

Well I have beat the hell outta one for 3 years now. I have yet to break or have any problems as of yet. If you use the "PURPLE" oil you will have problems on more than just the trany my .02. I can take 35" mudders on dry asphalt & burn em down with my stage 5 from ATS. I would not go with anything other @ this point due to the great service that I have had from mine. JMOO

The burned down 33" tires with the stock transmission in my 95 junker. The pump, converter, rear clutch pack, OD clutch pack, OD piston, filter, and fluid were all wounded, smoked, and broken but the trans kept on working.

Burning tires on dry pavement does not mean the transmission is well built!

Um ok not really sure what your point is here. Your experience with ATS is limited, or the transmission had limited potential, or you just don't like them because there purple?

ATS is great. Put a triple lock on my stock tranny had a small issue with them sending the wrong torque converter took care of everything within three days. My buddy runs the rebuilt 47re that your looking at has 80,000 miles with 750hp and its running strong.

X2, I can burn my 33's on dry pavement all day with 208k on the orig trans. Its not liking it but it still does it. Change fluid 2x a year no matter what... Good thread bout everyones experience with aftermarket transmissions, keep it going!

Big Blue, nice clutch and steel.

My point is "Cynical" humor which wasn't caught. I don't care if "ATS" painted that beeotch "Fuchsia" with lime green polkadots crisscrossing. There are better full built transmissions for the $$$$, plain and simple. Not an Opinion, a fugging Fact. Which can be backed by many. :Cheer:

Ok fine. You have no experience with ATS and are just a douchebag that likes to talk smack, I get it.

To the op :As a member of the ATS family, I can tell you a few things, the warranty on the transmission is 5 year 500,000 mile. Everything that the warranty includes and doesn't include can be found here: - ATS Diesel

Just as I thought, no experience with ATS transmissions. I have never seen an aftermarket manifold not crack. Everyone here will agree. That proves nothing, but nice try. Keep the name calling coming you child.

Hi pot this is kettle. It is you who opened your "Dumpster" first. With your D-bag comment. Thank you for pointing out that all exh manifold's crack. I didn't know that. Is that a common occurrence. The manifold was my first example. But you want to split hairs, Ok. Example 2 was a 03 Cr that I purchased on 10/07 which had the best transmission out on the market. You guessed it the famous initials. I was impressed with it, so much that I re-gifted it. I wanted another human to enjoy it's "Super powers". So child don't think, thought or A$$ ume. The end carry on.
