"Shown Shine"???? That like "Sun shine" In Canada? LOL

Do you have the breakdowns for what pays what for what class Randy?

Honeslty it is best to goto www.augustblackout.com everytime i try to update our poster Barry from NADP calls me up and says he has more prize money to give away. I dont doubt it a bit if this event hits $40,000.00 by the time august rolls around. I am telling everyone even if you cant bring your truck you should fly up for this event. I flew up 2 NHRDA staff last year to Barry's event and there was over 150 trucks competiting throughout the weekend and we are expecting over 200 trucks this year, and not to mention they through a killer after hours party with 2 live bands.

I will try to get the latest breakdown on payments for you guys but again it is easier to go to www.augustblackout.com

See everyone up there

Ill be there with bells on,, hope to see as many of you as possible. Stop by and say hello, you wont miss the black beast, Ill be camping too, big designer 5th wheel

just talked to barry, all payouts are cash in hand, when you get your trophy, you get cash, cash vs cheque in the mail sounds good to me.

As per usual The Stax Crew will be there aint missed one yet and they keep gettin better...... this year will be awsome :rockwoot:

Cory, I looked into attending earlier they have three classes:

Street Stock
Street Modified
Super Modified

The problem for us is the DOT tires in the Super Modified class :( I am hoping they change that for next year.

For those worried about fuel prices, do what I did - buy a used diesel Jetta! It cost me about $180 in total fuel to run the 1980 mile round trip to Medicine Hat, where I raced in Pro-2 bracket (and won on Sunday).

I'm planning to make the trip again for Blackout (although I may fly in if I can line up a truck to borrow). Either way, I'm not gonna miss this!

I read on the official event website (can't remember where on the site) that they are following their own rules, not the NHRDA ones for the pulling event.

The below is directly from the official August Blackout website and I have already inquired, the link takes you to the NHRDA rules as stated below.

RULES: We will be implementing NHRDA Sled Pull rules for this event. To view the rules CLICK HERE

Sorry, I read that on their website a while ago, so I either misremembered or they changed! I remember thinking of your DOT tire issue when I read it, so I'm pretty sure it was there at some point.
