Bad Knock After Retorque/injectors

no i did not...maybe i should have. i will do it this weekend if i get a chance. what is the purpose of adjusting the valves?? just curious

where can i pick up some feeler guages?
 
any auto parts store will have feeler gauges

you want your valves to be properly adjusted at all times. If you put a little more crush on the gasket, you effectively open the gap at the rocker

thanks forrest, ill get some guages and adjust the valve lash this weekend. btw, you ever get that v-band clamp?
 
You are effectively CLOSING the gap if the head pulls down any on a re torque. When you drive for a little bit your valve heat up and expand, hence the reason for the gap in the first place. chances are, that the gap is too little on a couple cylinders and are causiong the valves to not close completely or not well enough to seal the combustion chamber, causing a massive combustion leak and not igniting the fuel enough for a good burn if at all.
Or it could be like others said, that you have or had a problem with one of your injectors.
Either way, I'd still adjust your valves.
 
And the injector power rating? You just do not here people talk about hole size,quanity & projected power rating combo like the Powerstrokes.Being they have 6/7/8/10 holes I am just trying to figure my own combo I would like to have.It looks like some people with the aftermarket squirters actually have lower EGT's than I have with stockers.

they are rated for 200hp
 
brandon ill give u call this weekend so u can give me a hand...i also need some one thats good at hiding wiring and making everything under the hood look real sharp and i like what u did with the adrenaline wires brandon LOL!!!

sounds good...keener, the guy with the white truck in about a thousand pieces, is hoping to get his truck all back together on sat. too.
